From Franklinville to 27 Pine

When I look around my home, scanning room by room, every item big or small has a memory. Whether it be a blessing or a curse, my mind remembers all of it. I remember when we bought it, who gave it to us, feelings surrounding it, what place I was in my life when this item came into it, what place our family was at, how old the kids were or how young we were.

This is why I got into styling and designing. I wanted to create a home for our family, for my children to remember. I was so very fortunate to have a home like that when I was a child. My parents created that space for my sisters and I and now here I am doing the same for my own family but instead of Franklinville Road, it’s 27 Pine… and the feeling is the same, special and magical. I grew up in a home that backed up to the woods and a stream where we would “get lost” and explore for hours seemingly every day. And now, we are fortunate enough to have the same kind of set up….so much space to wander and roam. The thought of my children having that kind of freedom creates immediate butterflies in my stomach in the best way.

And with that, 27 Pine Design has become my next chapter… more than just a business, more than just styling. It is a way for me to help create spaces of purpose where everything is intentional, even the smallest thing. I’ll continue to expand these thoughts on this blog along with some other things that tell stories of what home really is. Thanks for following. Much gratitude and love.
